Today was the the start of Kristin's stay with us (yeah!), and a change in the weather. I worked most of the day, as we are getting ready for a big sales meeting next week in Poughkeepsie. But it was really nice to go xCountry skiing for my lunch break and again after work.
Kristin drove up in a snowstorm from Fort Collins, and we are happy to have her here safe and sound. This house is just plain too big for only the two of us! Lynne is starting to feel better (yeah!) and hopefully will go skiing on Friday, while Kristin and I will hit the slopes tomorrow to catch some fresh powder after my morning calls.
So far, the balance is working, although it isn't a traditional "Vacation", since I am still getting a lot of work done. Maybe balance isn't about less work, but is about having interesting things to do that fill the time when you aren't working? Time that would have been spent working more, perhaps more than is really needed?
Bundle up, folks, Its gonna get cold no matter where you are this week!!
